Wall Packs
LED wall packs mount on exterior walls to light building perimeters, entrances, walkways, loading docks and the edges of parking areas. They are often the first outdoor fixture property owners replace, because older metal halide and high-pressure sodium wall packs are hard to keep lit.
This category lists Averlite wall packs in full cut-off and semi cut-off styles. Edge LED supplies and installs exterior wall lighting for commercial buildings as part of building exterior and parking lot projects.

Full cut-off or semi cut-off?
The main decision is how the fixture directs light. A full cut-off wall pack aims light downward and keeps it below the fixture, which reduces glare toward neighbors, roads and drivers. A semi cut-off wall pack lets some light out forward and slightly upward, which helps light the wall face and reach farther across an open area. Many sites use both: full cut-off near property lines and doors, semi cut-off on long walls facing yards or lots.
Where wall packs are used
- Entrances, exit doors and walkways around offices, retail and multifamily buildings
- Loading docks and service doors at warehouses and distribution centers
- Rear walls and alleys that need light for staff and deliveries at night
- Gas station buildings, alongside canopy and pole lighting
Planning a wall pack replacement
Before replacing fixtures we check mounting height, the existing junction box and wiring, how far the light needs to reach, and whether the fixture should run all night on a photocell or follow a schedule. Matching color temperature with nearby pole and canopy lights keeps the exterior consistent. Good perimeter lighting also helps exterior security cameras see clearly at night, which is worth planning together if cameras are on the list.
