Low Bays
Low bay fixtures light open spaces with ceilings too low for a high bay, such as workshops, auto service bays, storage rooms, small warehouses, gyms with low ceilings and retail stockrooms. The fixture listed here is the Averlite High Lumen Low Bay.

Low bay or high bay?
Mounting height is the deciding factor. High bays are designed for tall ceilings and push light a long way down; on a low ceiling that same fixture can feel harsh and leave bright spots. Low bays spread light more widely from a lower height, so fewer dark areas form between fixtures. If the ceiling height falls between the two, we review the space and spacing before recommending either.
Long rooms with shelving may be better served by a linear low bay, which lights along an aisle instead of in a circle.
